What's with the Boomerang lift line ups? Either put in a high speed or stop the incredible powder days. So much dry and feather light blower powder skiing, face shots at the end of the day skiing back to my car. I still can't believe how incredible the skiing experience at Mount Washington was today, hmmmmm.

Ticket correction
A quick correction to another reviewer's post: you need to compare ticket prices to ticket prices if you think Washie is gouging. A walk up ticket price at Whistler is 96 bucks before taxes. Wash charges 68 bucks. The Edge card is $88 bucks right now, if you buy a 6pack for Wash at the early rate in November you ski for 58 bucks a day. It's not gouging, just pick the right product and get off the gouge bandwagon. Anybody paying ticket window prices anywhere should reconsider how they pay to get their fix. p.s- food does need help at times, especially the greasy breakfast....cafeteria only? c'mon....

Looks like today was a great day for the hill's timely opening. Probably the best skiing in the last 15 years. Keep it up. Thanks for the help today patrol, I was the guy with the missing friends..

Client número UNO
I declare as both a client, big shot and all around fancy pants that Mount Washington skiing is a direct jolt to the pleasure center. With my trusty boards in hand I have jibbed, jumped, ridden, flipped, flopped, hucked, straight lined, and ripped for over 20 years (grew up here). This place is the best and I have worked at the big stinker hills. They take days to open their terrain and I know those patrollers are hotter skiing the good stuff. Mount Washingon, I don't think so, you seen those dudes there like eighty or something. I doubt they are ripping it so they might need a few extra bombs, either way, they got me ripping today in a right timley manner. Thanks f

And by the way, this year the opening have been the best since your backside chair opened Overall, I have skied at the hill for the last 10 years and today was the best powder day hands down!!! For liability reasons, people not employed by Mt Washington are not allowed to just go and "pick up a rake" and start working on the terrain park. Try skiing somewhere else so you can understand how a top rated resort operates in comparison. [note from the editor : edited for the sake of relevance]

Having a ski mountain like Mt. Washington in my own backyard is absolutely fantastic....25 mins and I'm in heaven. Today was a great opportunity for me to get my powder fix because of the fresh dump this morning....but on my way up there was at least 2 separate car accidents because of individuals driving vehicles without chains on. It was a complete gong show ....after watching 4x4 trucks slipping or getting stuck on the road up I finally threw in the towel and called it quits after 3 hrs and headed back down. I tend to think that Emcon should have laid a bunch of gravel on the steep slippery sections that everyone was having such a problem navigating. This would have kept traffic moving. What a waste of time and money.

Two things to run any event. First...parking. Mount Washington has quite a bit. We always have a full car (which includes one or two hitch hikers from the base - we don't mind sharing) Second....bathrooms. At least they're indoors.

MountainLove!
I fail to understand how publicly bashing Mount Washington is going to improve any of the issues you bring up. All it will do is discourage people from coming to the mountain, which will result in less money, and therefore less resources for things like Patrol. I love my local Mountain, and feel so lucky that I am able to ride so often. Not to mention it takes less than an hour to get to the top of the mountain from my house. Last year I got a student season's pass for $510 with tax and got about 23 days in. That's equal to $22 a day. And that's a full day of snowboarding! Amazing! Not to mention the insane amount of snow! We haven't had as much snow this year, but how can you possibly complain with a 330 cm base (and now, an extended season!) Ya the sunrise chairlift is slow, but no one goes on it... Which can be a good thing! I've had some amazing runs off that chair. Lots of untouched powder runs, over and over again, because there's hardly anyone else there. Like anything in life, you take the good with the bad. Nothing is perfect, and if you're not willing to pay the price.. well, sorry! You have to make some sacrifices, not every day can be a beautiful powder day (although I know many of us wish it could!) I don't know what you guys are thinking... that Mount Washington is over charging you and hoarding all your money to themselves? Ummm, no! Not the case at all. There are so many people who love the Mountain and work hard to run and maintain it. I think it's so sad that their passion and hard work are so easily disregarded by some of the people commenting on this site.
