Mount Washington is the best place on earth. The snow is wicked, the powder even better and mid week there is no lift line at all so it's sick. Whistler is not good. With the prices and lift lines it's cheaper and better at MW so come to the island and you will never want to leave.

Wow, what a place. I have never experienced such poor service and high prices at a Western Canadian ski resort. Go ski but don't go inside the resort, restaurant, ski shops or other. Food is horrendous, staff attitude is poor and when I complained the Manager told me to "take it or leave it because there is no other place to go!" Well I can go other places like the interior ski resorts. Man, what happened to this place? Dale Gann.

The boomerang opens up truely amazing terrain but you need to hit it right. Otherwise you might get stuck with icy hard snow conditions.

We had a kick-butt season last season with the deepest snow base in Canada for 2005/2006. The Boomerang opened to rave reviews and we had tons of fresh powder. Fun times!

Mount Washington is an incredible family destination that almost guarantees snow, but more importantly, offers a great family experience adjoining a Provincial Park with the Ocean and beaches 30 minutes away. Paved road to the top. Plenty of good quality accommodation and great skiing!

Skiing in British Columbia Canada is excellent - probably the best in the world. Although Mount Washington has much to offer it suffers from being a coastal mountain with heavy snow at best. Also, because it usually has a high annual snowfall (except in 2004-5 when it was closed most of the time due to lack of snow) it frequently has poor visibility. It does have some excellent runs, but its location on Vancouver Island has meant it definitely suffers from a lack of competition - this is reflected in the management style. I'd recommend any other comparable size ski mountain in BC first. Try, Silver Star, Fernie, Kicking Horse, Panorama, Red Mountain Whistler, or the Canadian Rockies which are amazing - Sunshine, Lake Louise, you'll not be disappointed.

Mount Washington is a superb family ski hill. With varied terrain suitable for all abilities, in a quite compact area, and with fantastic views including some of the ocean. Combine this with a friendly, laid back, Vancouver Island atmosphere and you have an outstanding package. So much better value than some of the bigger and better known resorts in BC. Check it out!!!!
