Mount Washington is a great mountain, snow's great, terrain is great and most staff are awesome with the exception of the Mnt Tek ski and snowboard service and sales hut management. I highly recommend you get anything you need done to your ski's elsewhere and for sales they are way overpriced. Remove mtn tek and you have a great place to ski.

It was great fun watching the ski instructors teach the "old ones". What patience they have. The patrols were very professional, the ticket people really friendly. But I can't understand the accommodation people. They take cleaning deposits and then tell you that you must do all the bed linens before you leave and you are to wash and dry it in 110 units that might dry one sheet after 2 hours. What the hay did we rent up there for? Motel in Courtenay was cheaper, better service and even had hot water. Boo to accommodation rentals on Mount Washington. Never again. Yeah to the snow. Poofta to lazy and money hungry condo/rental owners.

I enjoyed very much my visitation to Mount Washington Alpine Resort. The snow was excellent off trail. On some skiing paths I found lines and pieces of snow that were difficult to ski. Mount Washington Alpine Resort staff in the dining areas were unpleasant upstairs but excellent in the Fat Teddies restaurant. The Primary Aid technicians were of great helpfulness and knowledge when my daughter hurt her knee. My thanks to them.

FYI: Big White has the best powder in all of BC. Champagne powder anyone? Not that heavy stuff. Except the staff at Mt. Washington is exceptional and always on the ball. Especially in rentals.

With all that snow one would think that the rock patch (garden) at the top of the mountain would be covered. Do any drivers ski/ride? It really is like they don't want you there. We get in the way.

If you have the time to be inside to find something to complain about then you shouldn't be there. Please go ahead, go to another ski hill, Mount Washington is the best and the less complainers there, the shorter the lineups. Everyone who has something bad to say is someone who has too much time on their hands up there. Enjoy the snow everyone. It's awesome.

Mount Washington ski resort is by far the best resort on the B.C coast.

Lovin' it!
So what if the food sin't so great on the hill. There are a bunch of really good restaurants in Courtenay and Comox which is only 30 minutes away (and right next to the ocean). TMount Washington is about the super deep snowpack (400+cms in the 3rd week of January). It's about the big pacific fronts that roll through all winter and will drop 30+ cms (sometimes 60) at a time! It's about the lift accessed back-country where you can find fresh lines a week after a dump (which has only happened once this season, because it has been snowing so much). And it's about the locals scene (who hang out in Cumberland on a Friday or Saturday night, not at the resort). So if you come here just to eat lodge food and talk to the management, you may not have the best time ever. If you want to come here and ski deep snow on a super deep snowpack a mile above the ocean surrounded by huge mountain ranges and glaciers, then you will really enjoy yourself. On second thought, I kind of like the fact that there are no lift lines mid-week, so maybe don't bother visiting.

I believe the management staff at Mount Washington need to take a course or two in interpersonal communication skills.

The snow is great. However, the customer service is horrible especially the office staff. This is not a family hill. This mountain is so far behind the times it will never amount to anything. Go to Mount Cain or ski Alberta on interior of BC, it rocks.
