What an amazing place! But has Whistler prices for accommodation. The food at Ted's is disgusting and very over priced, not enough stuff to do for kids when the mountain isn't open, the entertainment is for old people. I see why this place is for sale, Hopefully, the new owners are younger and are more with the current times! Oh and btw, they can not make snow up here, there isn't enough water supply to do this. Also find it funny that they have an "environmental committee" but their own cleaning company uses chemicals that go into the ground and pollute it and when you try and ask about this environmental committee, nobody knows who is in it!

The biggest location related problem faced by Mt Wash is that the level of whiny-ness in the local ski population is so high. Only here would people try and blame the management for the weather. No snow years happen at all ski areas from time to time, and anyway, not being able to go skiing really is a first world problem. Ride your bikes instead.

I used to ski Mount Washington. Not any more, since they went high end. Fancy magic carpet etc. Priced me out of the market! Used to be affordable, green chair half day ticket. Perfect for Comox Valley locals on a budget. That's gone now and so have I.

Definitely don't need snow making at this place. After years of early openings, which are not the historical norms and highly profitable seasons, Mt Wash out refuses to get snowmaking. Personally, I don't care as I would not ski on the ice, bit I feel bad for all those who have spent hard earned dollars on real estate and vacation plans up there. The great irony is the place is finally for sale and it is hard to imagine anyone doing a worse job running it, so perhaps this will make the next owners think about investing some dollars in infrastructure, i.e. some old junky snowmaking gear that they could pick up for 10c on the dollar. Can't wait for the barrage of hate responses from mountain employees who are sitting round their wood fires in there pyjamas 'cause there ain't no work.

Sept 29, the clouds linger over the cabin at forbidden Patrick or mothface are planning there next ketchup Cafeteria mustard heist. Mt. Washington is for sale and things are going to change. Doug's done and might as well work as a parky! Peters eatin pancakes in a office made of money,,, still never got his level three, Otis muckchip is in the oilfields, on the brink of extinction Times are changin, lucky to see a few tracks down heroine last year, Things are they changing...?? Lets face it ski tourism is on the decline, take a close look from courtenay And stare up at the platue, this is the future of our ski resort. Tourists come and go, lifts and ski ghosts whisper as the cold wind blows, silent steady, pure in f0rm. Timmy's up there somewhere in the burnt trees, blazing Zeppelins, Catching air and in the snowy dark shadows of the afternoon light........ The dad hunter raises his staff and shoots sweet white creamy fluff into the air... The dream of turning skiing into a business A greedy little dream is put to bed. Good night tele Timmy , after all it was your first time. Well see you in stovepipe glades or Jennifer's frizz chute. Shan't be long and then we ride.

Sorry to hear that the bike park will not be open for 2013. I'm sure the limited amount of riders who used it will miss it greatly. But it's all about demand. See you in the new ski season. Can't wait.

Holy smokes! I can't believe the mountain would ruin my dreams of skiing the sweet, sweet ice fields until the 21st of April. I only bounced off three rocks and got two coreshots yesterday; I could have been doing that during the week when they made the ludicrous decision to close. The management wants to make us believe that a "lack of snow" and "warmer than average temperatures" are to blame. Hogwash. Corporate mumbo-jumbo. I overheard something about farming snow on the mountain. Why don't they just add some more snow seeds earlier in the season? It's called foresight. Don't even get me started on how much they've reduced my season's pass to a meaningless piece of plastic. I may have already gotten enough ski days to pay it four times over, but when I absolutely demanded they stay open until June at the Ticket Kiosk, they just laughed at me and told me to deal with it. How am I going to get my two runs in on Coaster? Who will keep Timmy's Traverse an actual traverse?

powwow
What a surprise, passholders are squashed on managements' whim. No longer raking in the bucks on day tickets, screw our commitment to staying open, the forecast doesn't look good so we are closed. What a crock. Tomorrow, clear skies, 'corn snow, would have been a great day. Your lack of commitment to stay open is shallow and pathetic.

Well now, they did it again, Another hell of a great attempt for Timmy the Washington snow prince. Finished the season off on east bullets. Did at least 3 twisters, one spread hawk back scratcher and a mut grab to 760, donkey kick. It was so sick people yelled from the chair "go home you Victorian idiot". Why do people from the valley have to be rude up here? I just want sick powder turns! "Said in a Australian accent". Anyways, lets hope the rumour about the gondola from Wolf lake next year is true. I will be the first to hot box it then pry the door open and super daffy ski out of it.
