i had good time but livingo ski-wise is CRAP!!!! nice snowpark with a huge well maintained superpipe but as far riding is concerned nada, nothing, nill, zip just boooooring ugly routes,we stayed in ISOLACIA a cute little town between bormio and livingo ,now that was good everyone went skinng in livingo or bormio and isolacia was empty, the slopes were extremly well prepared, even though i mostly prepare back country in isolacia riding the piste when you dont have anyone around is also tons of fun, everyone except the police who chase you on snowmobiles when you freeride, is pretty warm & friendly, booze is dirt cheap,i bought like 3 bottles of bacardi and i payed around 18 euro!!!!!!!!!!!all i know we had to buy another 3 the next day,ooo try local italian tequilla its really good ,and cheap ,its like mixture of whisky, tequilla and wine:)

Three words: Livigno is Great. Ive been 3 times and i have just booked my 4th trip. People are put off by the long transfer from Bergamo. I dont think it is that bad. I sleep for about an hour of the transfer and then just admire the scenery. Which is stunning. When you get to resort it is like a winter wonderland. The hotels i have stayed in are really nice. I recomend the hotel Zodiac i will be there end of jan with the lads daring dave and two pint pete! Im already looking forward to my breakfast at Gallis with raphael. Mmmmmm tinned mushrooms!!! The skiing there is great I would class myself as a advanced intermidiate and it is perfect. If you want to bomb down a few runs and scare some kids you can or if you want a challange then they have difficult reds and a few blacks. Just want say I'm lookin forward to skin, cheap booze, and food and there is plenty of each in Livigno

Great skiing especially for intermediate skiers, as snow sure as you can get
without going glacier. My family and i go at least twice a year and my two young children love the ice carting and the Devil cart red run. Duty free prices a litre bottle of whiskey for 5 euros, steak meal at the Bellavista for under 10 euros wont break the bank. Why use a tour operator, we've got flights 39pence each way, hire a car, book accom on line, under £600 for a family of 4.

Holidayed in Livigno March 2004 and now looking to book for end Jan 2005 as we were unable to ski the whole area. Pistes to suit all skiers with the exception of experienced regular Black Runners. Some of the red runs here are very dark red if you know what I mean. The place rocks as far as I am concerned. Loads to do at night and the restuarants we sampled served delicious food every time. This year will definately not be my last here. Only problem is the transfer but Nielson fly to Innsbruck which is only 3 hrs away. Come on Tour operators do the same. Well worth the long transfer though and if I'm honest we slept most of the way.A+ as far as I'm concerned

We'll be in Livigno at the beginning of February for our third visit to the resort. The skiing is good and the town is excellent. Very friendly people in shops & restaurants & reasonable prices everywhere. Better not tell you our favourite restaurant otherwise we won't get a table :-)

Hi All,
Am returning to Livigno in Feb 2004 for the second year running as my first Livigno experience was so good. Have previously skied in the Pyrenees and the Balkans over the past 15 years and was very impressed with the Livigno experience.
Stayed in Garni Champagne (San Rocco) after flying in to Innsbruck, transfer was a lot nicer than the notoriously long transfer from Bergamo. Accomodation was excellent and friendly.
Ski equipment first rate, Snow conditions Feb 2003 amazing.
All round an excellent resort for all classes of Skier (including an amazing Snow Park for the pro boarder or skier!) with lively bars and night clubs catering for all ages and genres and the, as you would expect top Italian cuisine.
Ciao!
