Hasn't stopped snowing for 3 days. All runs open. Incredible conditions.

Really bad conditions lately. There was just one firm snowfall for the whole winter in mid January and since then the conditions are getting worse by day. On 21.02 me and few friends made the mistake to pay the passes; total disappointment. Really bad slopes and shitty weather. Unfortunately, this is not a good season in Borovec or anywhere in Bulgaria.

Just got back from a weeks skiing in Borovets. A week that had most things, wind, rain, snow and sun. Got out every day. All lifts are open; shame not all the runs were open but had a good time. Went with Hunters ski school and had Vassco (if you want to carve from top to bottom without stopping he's your man).

Have been in Borovets since 18th January 2016. Snow is excellent at the top, harder packed but not icy lower slopes. Everything open, not too busy, lovely bright days. Fabulous!

Great little budget resort with nice slopes. A little 'cheesed off' about the lack of parks. Apparently they haven't been made because of lack of snow. Still they could put out some rails or boxes. Just being honest.

Picked a good week for Borovets (Jan 10-17). Most pistes open + not too crowded. Weather good for us but no looking good for week ahead unless it snows. Stayed in Rila; good food. Great budget ski resort.

Last week (3rd to 10th January 2015) was really great here in Borovets. Plenty of snow, low temperatures and great, great prepared ski slopes. The best winter holiday for me and my family.

Been here since the 28th and the snow has been good. Snow canons have been blowing constantly to keep the base topped up. Pistes have been well groomed. Almost everything open apart from the odd black and the Mursala path all the way back to the resort. Very cold, -11 in the resort at midday today. Never skied in Bulgaria before but very impressed. No lift queues apart from a couple of dozen people waiting for the nursery slope button lift.

Currently in Borovets, it snowed this morning but nowhere near enough. 2 nursery slopes open that's all. Gondola closed due to the wind. More snow forecast for tonight.

Currently here in Borovets for the "start" of the ski season. Contrary to many claims around the net, none of the ski lifts are open, a few kids are having a lot of fun sledging at the bottom of the slopes but that is it. Snow cannons have been blasting away but although to my inexpert eye the slopes look fine have presumably not done enough and right now, no natural snow is forecast in the next few days. But disappointing as this may be, there is horse riding up in the Rila mountains, there is an ice skating rink in nearby Samakov and the nicer hotels all have spa and swimming facilities. The restaurants, in the main town, are cheap and hopefully skiing will get underway soon!
