I have been coming to Bormio now since 2000. The village is full of charm and very relaxed. The skiing is great for all levels and the instructors are great fun and very professional. A visit to the thermal baths is a must and sometimes a neccessity to soothe any bumps and bruises from the skiing. Its a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the Italian cuisine especially with the views at 3000m. Give it a try but don't tell everyone.
