I used to ski at Revelstoke Mountain Resort when it was only a Cat Ski operation, which I'm sad to see has been replaced by lifts. It has some awesome terrain. I think they are stretching it a bit to claim their level of vertical since that goes all the way down to the main road. How many people ski down to the road? I hope Revelstoke Mountain Resort left some of the runs named by Clyde the Cat Ski operator.

I skied two days at Revelstoke Mountain Resort in Jan of 08 and I must say it was the greatest resort skiing I have ever had. 36 cars in the lot, not a sole on the hill; it was creepy at first but after my third run in North Bowl I knew I had found the promised land. Day one I did 14 runs and logged 43,000 feet. I kept missing the cut back to the quad chair. Day two I did 16 runs of 38,000 feet. I am heading up there tomorrow to ski before I go heli-skiing in Mica Creek. Revi Rocks. Whistler is toast.

Witness the power of this fully operational ski hill! Revelstoke Mountain Resort is amazing, and not busy to boot! Maybe do avoid Devils club... the only thing worse than getting stuck on that run is getting stuck on that run after a full day of cat skiing. It leaves a bitter taste.

Takes inbounds powder skiing to a new level. Unbelievably awesome snow when i was there in early Jan and would love to return this season!!
Compete with Whistler? Revelstoke will be better than Whistler when its fully operational :)

LOL! I think "Mark" must work for Whistler's marketing dept.
Revy has a ton of snow and an incredible amount of vertical. This place is going to be an incredible ski resort that will easily compete with Whistler.

I just got back from an unforgettable trip at Revelstoke Ski Resort and to sum it up in one word...AWESOME!!! This mountain has it all, the most vertical drop in all North America, Runs with literally nobody else but yourself on them and locals who are totally 'down to earth' cool people. Check it out now before the rest of the world finds out about this hidden jewel of BC. Since this is the first year being open, it will be interesting to return year after year to see its natural progression. REVY U ROCK!!

Growing up skiing Whistler all my life I wondered if I would ever have a mountain that compares. After skiing Revelstoke Mountain I have discovered not only a mountain that delivers great terrain, non-existent line ups and powder turns straight out of heaven, but also a mountain hospitality that far surpassed my expectations. My family
and I will definately be returning for what is a new breed of skiing for the interior B.C. We are Revelstoked!!!!
