Ian Davey from United Kingdom writes:

If you want a resort that is affordable but has access to a more upmarket stunner then this is the place. Folgarida has some super runs; both runs back down to Folgarida are nice cruisers and if you venture towards Marilleva the black and red runs down are superb. Its a quick connection over to Madonna and if you get the first lift in a morning you can reach the top of Groste not long after 9am.
On the Folgarida side there is a bottleneck. Everyone uses the Urso Bruno lift to get to the top of Marilleva and despite being a quick 6-man there can be huge queues in a peak week.
Over in Madonna the lifts at the bottom of Groste get packed in the afternoon as skiers attempt to return over to Folgarida. Its currently 31 Euros to extend your lift pass for a day over in Madonna. Madonna's runs are beautiful and there is plenty in Folgarida for an experienced skier: off-piste through the trees and a couple of decent blacks but I would suggest getting a whole area pass as Madonna is so beautiful. Beginners beware, its a tough red back to Folgarida from Madonna. Buses back from Madonna cost about 2 Euros! And a taxi is 20-30 Euros!
