What's it like at Bear Valley resort?

Bear Valley is in California's Sierra Nevada, located between Lake Tahoe and Yosemite. It enjoys 10m (30 feet) of snow in an average season, backed up by 100 acres of snow making. Likely the worst run ski resort in the Sierras. They will always be the first to close and last to open in any significant snowfall. While others are skiing at nearby resorts you will be skiing doing nothing. There is a reason there are short lift lines as discussed in the other reviews, it's because most people don't want to risk showing up and being told they are not opening because of some new excuse. Go elsewhere if you actually want to ski when it snows.
