Tatranská Lomnica (Tatranska Lomnica), north of Poprad, is one of the three biggest High Tatras villages. At the base of Lomnický Štít (Lomnicka Stit ) massif, it provides access to some of the the best skiing in the Tatras from Lomnické sedlo (2189m), on totally wide-open, challenging terrain with plenty of off-piste opportunities. Plenty off-slopes too; take the cable car to the highest point in Slovakia at Lomnicky stit (not for skiing), enjoy the extensive cross-country, or try the 2km long sledging run. There is a good ski school, nice cross-country trails and a nursery slope at Jamy in the valley. The resort is only a few km from Strbske Pleso.

The slope is really nice and suitable mainly to off-piste freaks (or ski alpinists). Chair lift to be used in highest part is rather old and so weather/wind prone but if you get there in nice sunny spring time (up to May 11th every year) it's really a great season end.
