Tatranská Lomnica Ski Resort Guide (resort name also written as Tatranska Lomnica)
Tatranská Lomnica, north of Poprad, is one of the three biggest High Tatras villages. At the base of the Lomnický Štít massif, it provides access to some of the best skiing in the Tatras from Lomnické Sedlo (2189m), on totally wide-open, challenging terrain with plenty of off-piste opportunities. Take the cable car to the highest point in Slovakia at Lomnicky Štít (not for skiing), enjoy the extensive cross-country, or try the 2km long sledging run. There is a good ski school at Tatranská Lomnica, nice cross-country trails and a nursery slope at Jamy in the valley. Tatranská Lomnica is only a few km from Strbske Pleso.
