Visitor Reviews of St Johann in Tirol

Went skiing for the first time in February last year in St Johann and loved every minute of it. I'm no expert on conditions and things like that, but we were able to ski on fantastic snow all week. Jan/Feb time seems to be the best time to go as the weather is best. When we went last year we got loads of snow, then consistently below -8 degrees and sunny, so it was a really enjoyable experience. The instructors are brilliant, they had me skiing on the black slope by the end of the week. However, they are not only good at teaching, they are great fun and are always having a laugh, which is what I love about the nature of the Austrians, and made the trip that extra bit special. Apres-ski in Maxpub tops of a brilliant, everyday until you are ready to go home. We stayed in Hotel Austria which was really good. Very good rooms, games room and an under-ground storage area for your ski equipment. And the hotel is a 2minute walk from max pub and on of the gondola stations. Brilliant ski holiday and we will be going again this February. I would thoroughly recommend this resort to anyone starting out skiing or for families. You will go home pleased you picked the right place.
