What's it like at Thredbo resort?

Thredbo is a relatively upmarket alpine resort in NSW; it hosted the only World Cup race ever to be held in Australia. It has over 650 m of vertical drop and it has a lot to offer both on and off the piste. Runs, at Thredbo, are lined with gum trees and are varied. Experts should seek out the Funnel Web; the steepest run on the mountain. Queues are kept short by the high speed lifts, although it can get busy at peak times. Off the hill the town of Thredbo is lively and, in true Aussie style, there are plenty of places to wet your whistle. The town is up-market in places but affordable accommodation can be found it you look around.

Alice from Australia writes:

This place is horrible. Never come here go to Falls Creek instead because there is only T-bars. Its poorly connected and the staff are unfriendly and they charge for hot water at the kiosks. Also the slopes aren't clearly defined and they go all over the place/unskiable terrain.
