Spring skiing has officially arrived. While there hasn't been a fresh dump in a bit, the coverage remains solid across the mountain, especially on the upper elevations and shaded aspects. With sunny skies and temperatures climbing into the high-30s, expect south-facing slopes to soften up by midday. These will offer great "hero snow" carving. Stay High and Shady…. for the firmest, most consistent "packed powder" feel, stick to the north-facing glades in the Outback Bowl or the upper reaches of the Great Escape. The groomers remain your best bet while going off piste is a bumpier ride. from Schweitzer Mountain
