What's it like at Rosa Khutor resort?

Rosa Khutor (Sochi) (or Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort) was chosen as the primary venue for the 2014 Winter Olympic Games. The area has 13kms of Olympic ski runs and has an additional 9 ski lifts built for the event, making a total of 19. The ski area offers an incredible 1745 metres (5725 feet) of vertical descent and Rosa Khutor (Sochi) (or Rosa Khutor Alpine Resort) has 72 kilometres of pistes. There is terrain to suite all abilities and the ski season is assisted with the use of snow making which covers over 100 hectares. The Snow park, at Rosa Khutor (Sochi), was completed in 2011. This facility and the Freestyle Centre, are located to the west of the Rosa Plateau at the height of 1100-1200 m above the sea level.
