Orelle has one 3 mile long telecabine up to the pistes, and if it breaks down, as it has today, you cannot ski at all. If the lift is working, Orelle has access to some of the best snow in the 3 valleys area, from low altitude near a major road from France to Italy. The village has cheap accommodation, but is neither beautiful nor blessed with shops and nightlife.
