Greek Peak in the United States (New York State) is a medium sized ski resort with 8 ski lifts (6 chair lifts, 2 surface lifts) but it only has 293 metres (961 feet) of vertical descent. Greek Peak has 257 acres of terrain over 29 trails. Greek Peak is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. There are 32 kilometers (20 miles) of cross country ski trails at Greek Peak. For snowboarders, there is a half pipe. The nearest airport is at Hancock (Syracuse) and the nearest train station to Greek Peak is at Syracuse. Sad to see such reviews especially since so many schools use this facility. As a parent who doesn't ski I was unsure of the quality, just knew the prices seemed high. Now after reading up on this and other opportunities I am even more disappointed in the choice.
