Rangerdad from Germany writes:

Just back from a fantastic week in Disentis with my 11 and 9 year old kids (competent skiers on all types of piste). We had a great time - it snowed most nights so we skied a lot of powder. The Valley run is wonderful after a good dump - we found lots of different route - don’t be put off by the black grading - it’s manageable. We skied to Andermatt one day and took the Matterhorn Bahn home. Still finding fresh tracks 3 days after a good snowfall. The pistes coming from Sedrun to the Oberalpass are just fantastic. Once you are heading over to Andermatt you hit the sunny aspects. We found lots of great skiing off the chairs at Disentis - manageable for the kids with 20 cms of snow. They hated the T-bar on the lookers left of the field. I’d say it’s an amazing resort for good skiers who want to ski off-piste a lot. And it’s super quiet! The big downside is the poor food options.
