Mountain Legends from Ecuador
You do not really use oxygen to climb the mountains in Ecuador. Cayambe is the located to the northern part and receives the winds that come from the jungle. This time of the year usually clear blue skies although weather conditions are quite unstable this past year! In Quito you can find rental gear shops and it is possible to arrange the climb to Cayambe. This is a 2day one night climb with a proper acclimatization program.

Most of the ski resorts in Latin America are higher than 4000 meters altitude, and unbelievable !?
The highest ski resort that I've skied, has been Tochal (G7), with altitude of a little bit higher than 3900m where it's peak is 3978m. on Alborz ranges, in my country, Iran.
But the information about South America resorts, are so poor and insufficient!
Hence, the knowledge of experts in this field will be highly appreciated, and useful for eagers. -

Is there anybody to write more information about high altitude pist of Cayambe in Equador please.
In such an altitude can we find oxygen to breath?
How about the equipments and facilities there?
Thanks in advance.
