Came here mid Feb 2013. I can't say I was overly impressed, the serious problem with this resort is that there is only one gondola up the mountain and one run back down which both get very crowded when the resort is busy and although when you get to the top of the mountain you can head out to the Sella Ronda and find some quiet runs, I wasn't that impressed with the runs around Canezei. One day when we didn't fancy waiting for 40mins in the lift queue we stayed on the bus and went to the next town in the valley (Alba) where there were a few different runs but not enough to keep you occupied for more than a day.
Canazei town is nice enough but there didn't seem to be much nightlife outside of a couple of apres-ski bars and this was peak season. However, this is the only resort I have been to in the Dolomites and so maybe they are all like that and it did seem to be a mostly older crowd / families. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants as we were half-board but there seemed to be plenty of choice.
I would definitely come back to the Sella Ronda area as there is so much to go at, it is very pretty, there are runs for all levels of ability and it is good value for money but I would probably stay in Selva, Santa Christina, Arabba or Corvara where there are more lifts and runs nearby.
