Banff Sunshine Village has confirmed it will reopen for a fortnight of summer skiing, from this weekend. The only ski area in Canada to be open into July.

The lifts out of the valley have now been improved with a new telecabine to supplement the cable car. The old clapped out chairlift has been removed. So much better. If you love off-piste in dramatic scenery then Argentiere is superb. But beware, you are in true moutainous glaciated terrain.
