I went skiing for the first time last year and chose Vogel as the place to learn. I am very glad I did, I had a great time. The ski school that we used was really good; lots of fun. I find it hard to fault the place as a beginner, although I can see that experienced skiers may find it limiting, although the area ski pass does allow you to go to any ski resort in Slovenia. The only negative I can find is that there were national holidays on the last two days of our holidays and this made getting up the mountain a bit miserable because of the amount of Slovenians that had decided to go skiing. But all in all a really lovely resort, friendly people and tonnes of snow.
