We visit San Cassiano for many years and always with our caravan (in winter) there is a beautiful located camp-ground Because of the location at 1550 m there is always snow and the ski lifts are not too far. Cross-country skiing starts directly on the camp-ground. Prices for very good food & drinks are affordable and not as high as Switzerland & Austria. Besides that the population is mostly very friendly (grumpy people are to find anywhere).
