Poiana Brasov 6 Day Snow Forecast

I am an intermediate standard skier and have skied across the Alps. I booked a last minute deal to Poiana Brasov thinking this could be a disaster.
There was not much snow when I went. It was interesting plotting a course down the black run to avoid the rocks and trees. Hopefully my technique has improved.
I stayed in the Poiana hotel; the rooms are basic but clean.
The food was very good. Also included in the price of the holiday was a weeks tuition ski pass and all inclusive drinks from 16:00 to 23:30.
I think there is enough skiing to keep most people happy for a week (assuming there is snow). If not, you can have a good time socialising, getting merry and enjoying the local sites.
I will keep on checking the weather forecast, if they have a bucket load of snow and there is another last minute deal I would definitely go back again.
As a value for money holiday I would rate it higher than any of the alpine resorts I have skied in. If all you want to do is ski this may not be the resort for you. If skiing and socialising are your thing, give this place a go, it is well worth it.

P.s If you catch a bus in to Brasov, make certain you buy your ticket before getting on the bus and validate the ticket in the machine on the bus. If not, a £1 bus ride ends up costing £10 when the inspector fines.
