Visitor Reviews of Katschberg-Aineck
Peter and Karen from United Kingdom writes:
We have just returned from a great ski week in the Lungau valley
Katschberg village stands at around 1600m which assures good snow well into the season. It is a small "ski to your hotel" resort with charm.
The larger ski area of Katschberg is linked with its smaller sister resort of St Margarethen in the next valley by a 4 man chair lift and some enjoyable red and blue runs. The villages are picture postcard and there is plenty of variety for blue or red run fans. If you are looking for scary blacks there are two runs , but only one of these makes your heart flutter.
For beginners there is a long wide blue to practice your style.
No crowds and I am told it rarely gets too busy as the Lungau valley is yet undiscovered by most forgeign tourists.
Do try out the other resorts that are all 15 to 20 mins drive away.
