6 day Canazei snow forecast

Returning to Canazei this year at Christmas for the eight time (not sequential) snow a bit sparse but not been let down before and with 95% snow cannon coverage won't be this time either. Canazei is by far the most cost effective resort on the Sella Ronda (day round trip of Dolomite resorts). Skiing is predominantly red and perfect for intermediates or tiring experts like me. I ski with my son now 22 (he started in Canazei at 12 after 6 years on dry slope or Scottish slopes) who also loves the place. Thankfully devoid of the mass British presence of Meribel or St Anton (recent visits) being Italian, Danish, German and more recently Russian orientated. Neighbouring resorts of Arabba and Selva can adequately cater for your more extreme skiing requirements (all skiable in and hour from Canazei). Food on the slopes is awsome and compared with France an absolute steal (as is the drink). Night life is more than adequate although not as frantic as the more touristy resorts, with a good number of late opening hostelries.
Access to slopes is only downer being a single gondola (although very fast) but you should either arrive early (8:20) or late (after 10) to avoid a 20min wait at the foot. After that you should have a fairly queue free day unless doing the Sella Ronda (see above) when again an early start is definitely required. Over 1100 km of slopes on the ski pass and 600 km accessible directly from Canazei on skis or by using a maximum of 2 free ski buses.
