Summer Snowfall In Canada

Ski areas in Western Canada have been reporting fresh snowfall in the final days of summer, raising pre-season excitement levels.

There's currently no ski areas open in Canada, but Sunshine near Banff, pictured below on Sunday as one of those that has reported snowfall in the past few days, is usually one of the first in the country to open in about two months time.

Ski areas in BC reporting summer snowfall included Panorama, pictured top, and Kicking Horse, below. Summer snowfall was also reported on high terrain in the northern US, including along the Beartooth Highway between Wyoming and Montana.
