Canada's Banff Sunshine is still open, but closes late May. It now plans to reopen in June-July.

Sunshine Village, one of three Canadian ski areas that’s still open for its, but is due to end its25-26 season on May 18th, is considering reopening for a fortnight of summer skiing from June 20 to July 5.

CBC is reporting that the Banff resort’s move follows an exceptionally snowy winter, the resort recently reported it was closing in on passing a 10m (33 feet) seasonal snowfall total, which it describes as “historic”. The Canadian Rockies had a very snowy winter in contrast to the US Rockies to the south.

The resort expects to run one chairlift, the Strawberry Express, and several ski runs. Kendra Scurfield, a resort representative, told CBC.

Sunshine Village is one of the highest-elevation ski resorts in Canada and with Whistler Blackcomb stopping summer skiing a few years ago, now has the country’s longest season, from early-October to late-May.

Sunshine currently still has more than 100 trails open and snow lying 2.4m (8 feet) deep on upper slopes, with temperatures still dropping below freezing overnight.
