Miles worse than the best resort in the area, yet popular. Seriously, if you come to this ski area you need your head examined. Skiing in China is in its infancy but this place is way behind Wanlong Shan resort area and only about 2km away as the crow flies and 20 km around the mountain by road. Wanlong Shan is about 500 meters vert, this place 300 if you are lucky, not 675 as advertised here. There's only one or two runs but at Wanlong there are at least ten ways down the mountain. They say there's pizza, I never saw one but then I was there outside of the strict Chinese 11.30 to 12.30 mealtime. The snow is like ice, being it's very cold: minus 20 centigrade or -30 with windchill at lunch time. Yet the rental skis are all blunt and not waxed, and the staff don't even know how to adjust bindings. They have one Leitner high speed chair, but it has foot rests that are so short you can't get your feet on them if you are over 5 ft six" tall, and will be constantly berated by some China gaper in fake French 80's instructor skiwear. Oh and you'll be forced to wear a lametard ski helmet for safety reasons. Don't bother; Wanlong is nearby and Japan is in the geographic region [note from the editor: last sentence removed as not directly significant].
