Hopefully, whoever is measuring the snow depth can get real! Absolute make-believe, because there's much less base than being claimed. There's no way we have 45cm more than Kootenay pass. Shame on you!
Hill is amazing. New reno on lodge. Separate building for ski school and rentals. Food is amazing. New chair is moving people more efficiently. Still not getting skied out after a full day.
Best bet would be to hit up Whistler. Waaayyyy better :|
This scene is totally blown-out and full of washed-up has-beens! The terrain is terrible, the food is awful and the locals are rowdy! Avoid this place like the plague so myself and the rest of the locals can focus on skiing, instead of heckling you...
With love,

I visited the resort in 2009 and 2013. Whitewater had very good powder skiing with not many people, amazing terrain with mind blowing potential, the staff is most friendly and helpful and the food is amazing. Great value. The area has improved with the additional Glory chair and terrain with over 2000' of vertical; more than doubling the skiable terrain. Takes more than a few days to explore the mountain. One resort not to miss if you want a true ski experience that stays away from man-made snow and high speed lifts. All natural snow makes for soft conditions and slower chairs preserve quality of snow and make for less crowded runs.
Our hill sure has changed. Long gone are the days when you could schralp a fresh line at 2pm. The weather and the crowds have change our hill. Whitewater is so crowded now and the snow has been rare the last three years. With only a few groomers it is not a fun hill without snow. First time in ten years I am thinking about no pass next year. Maybe it is time to try Red. Better terrain and they groom more than two runs. Sorry Whitewater, you are not the best anymore.
WH2O has developed some problems that did not exist before expansion in 2011. The lodge is totally inadequate for the number of skiers. Expect to line up for everything including the two washrooms. Lunch is a plunge into the germ pool of elementary school children. Summer grooming has not kept up with underbrush regeneration as well as fallen trees, stumps and boulders in high traffic areas. The whole bottom area of the Glory chair is a mine field of hazards. The numbers of skiers and boarders has made WH2O just another 2 hour powder rush hill. They need to do some serious work on the ground to match their advertising.
