I great quiet family resort with loads to do all year round. Not good for the lager louts or wild night life but excellent in other respects. Links to Alpe d'Heuz means skiing for every standard. Have been back 5 times and will carry on going. One of best kept secrets in the Alps.

Tried Vaujany on the recommendation of friends but found it to be so dull. Only half of the runs were open and the skiing was intermittent at best. Meals on the mountain cost an absolute fortune and became rather repetitive after 6 days skiing. The hotel was rather rustic as were the staff...all in all, will not try here again. There are simply better resorts for less money.

FOUND THE RESORT OF VAUJANY EXTREMELY ENJOYABLE.FOUND THE RESORT ITSELF VERY FRIENDLY. LIMITATION OF BARS AND RESTAURANTS, BUT FOR A FAMILY SKIING HOLIDAY FOUND IT SECOND TO NONE. ARSONS BAR NEAR THE MAIN GONDOLA VERY WELCOMING AND HELPFUL WITH LOCAL KNOWLEDGE. WOULD RECOMMEND STOCKING UP AT THE SPAR SHOP BEFORE ENTERING VAUJANY AS PRICES IN THE RESORT ARE ASTRONOMICAL.

Absolutely great resort. Good snow and skiing. Really nice runs towards the upper lifts. All the people were really friendly. I highly recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for a brilliant resort to go to but at low a price.

Tried Vaujany after speaking to friends, but was very disappointed. Did not meet the usual high standards of a French ski resort and whilst the accommodation was good, the people were very rude and the instruction was given by a complete non-english speaker despite the assurances of the high priced travel company that arranged the holiday. This year we will go to Val Thorens...

Absolutely terrible resort; snow not cleared in village, people unfriendly and rude. Costs are astronomical and skiing is only good for those who have never stood on skis before. A complete waste of a lot of money...look elsewhere!

Vaujany is a superb resort for families. We went with Ski peak who were excellent. The morning rush with 2 children was made so easy with the lockers located by the main lift and escalators (yes, escalators) that make life so much easier when carrying 2 extra pairs of skis, poles and helmets. Some lovely runs in Vaujany but also good links over to Alpe d'huez, with some excellent long black runs at the top of Alpe d'huez. To be thoroughly recommended.

Quiet village, pistes nowhere near as crowded as they are in neighbouring Alpe d'Huez. Some great reds (esp.Les Rousses)and a nice black called La Fare that can be a bit tricky when the snow is thin (it goes down to 1100m). There's some safe and relatively gentle off-piste ski-ing through the trees above Montfrais - and some much more challenging stuff off the Dome (2800m). If you want some authentic mountain food try restaurant Passoud (by the Alpette drag lift - half way down the slope) and for the best pizzas in the area go to La Grange (just by the mid station of the big cable car).

One British ski company Ski Peak brilliant, very quiet resort if you are after a quiet family holiday with quality accomodation and great access to Alpe D'huez ideal. If you are a party animal not for you.
