St Michael, linked with its neighbour Mauterndorf, has 28 pistes with a total length of 80 kilometers (50 miles). There are 70 kilometers (44 miles) of cross country ski trails at St Michael. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. A small proportion of the pistes at St Michael are covered by snow-making. The nearest airport is at Salzburg and the nearest train station to St Michael is at Tamsweg. There is accommodation located close to the pistes but we would welcome additional information about any hotels or chalets in St Michael.

St Michael is a pretty Austrian village with lots of tree lined skiing. Ideal for intermediates and learners to practice and develop their techniques as a fair number of the pistes are wide and uncrowded. Piste marked (Red)on map down to village does not exist.
