Snowbasin is a nice resort with varied terrain, excellent lift system and fantastic day lodges. The latter are so nice (oriental rugs, fine furniture) that it seems incongruous to plod around them in ski boots. Snowfall is solid, but not quite on a par with Cottonwood Canyon resorts. One drawback: very little local lodging thanks to forest service restrictions. On balance, Snowbasin is definitely worth a visit if you are skiing in the Salt Lake area.
