I was 12 when I first skied on Hudson Bay when I moved from Ontario. I had skied for many years before, but never on a mountain as breathtaking and magnificant....from the very first run....I knew that it was where my heart belonged. The real difference between Ski Smithers and all the other ski resorts is that this one is not as commericalized, exposing all to the natural beauty of what skiing really is...ultimate freedom...to be one with the mountain......absolutely incredible..........
I grew up skiing on Hudson Bay and all I can say is WOW!
If you are looking for something out of the ordinary with incredible terrain and snow, this is your place.
Well worth the trip... I don't live there any longer, but make sure I get back there for one trip a year.
Spend your time exploring the powder fields to the skier's left of the chair lift but don't wander too far left as you go down further.
