Sillian (or Sillian-) in Austria (in the Tirol region) is a medium sized ski resort with 6 ski lifts (1 gondola, 2 chair lifts, 3 surface lifts) that offers skiers an incredible 1304 metres (4278 feet) of vertical descent. Sillian (or Sillian-) has 45 kilometers (28 miles) of pistes. Sillian is only really suitable for beginner and intermediate skiers and snowboarders. There are 50 kilometers (31 miles) of cross country ski trails at Sillian-. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park. The majority of the pistes at Sillian (or Sillian-) are covered by snowmaking.

    So much better than I was expecting. The area is not huge but they have certainly made the most of what is available to them. A good lift system, excellent variety of runs to suit all standards. Easy to find your way around and excellent snow. Couldn't ask for more. Today was my first visit but it will certainly not be my last.
