Sansicaio is the best positiond resort in the milkyway. It has some of the longest runs, the Olympic run is excellent as are most of the others. There are lots more mountain restaurants than I had realised; all good and well priced. I found the local staff warm and helpful. The hotel Majestic is good as is the food with lots of it. There is no village as such and it's a shame there isn't a local bar; the bar in the hotel is ok but pricey. There is a short walk from the coach to the lift, some people might moan about it but we thought nothing of it. The resort in one word great.

Although, Hotel Majestic is outside the ski area, this hotel at San Sicario is very nice and clean if a little characterless perhaps. Staff and Crystals Reps are very nice. Once we had got over the difficulty of no supermarket in village and therefore no supplies for room parties, we had a very enjoyable holiday. Plenty of ski area at San Sicario and not crowded at all.

Went to San Sicario over New Year 2009. It is very much a purpose built resort. There is no village and all the apres-ski activity centres around the hotels. The resort at San Sicario caters for Italians and the ski school could only offer one instructor for English lessons. This made teaching a spectrum of abilities very difficult. Skiing is very good - can connect into the Milky Way with lots more skiing than you can shake a ski at. The slopes are well tended and lifts etc well maintained. We stopped at Hotel Majestic. It lacked character somehow. Wouldn't go again - back to Austria with a proper village scene.

A very enjoyable resort, with an Italian atmosphere, close to the French border, San Sicario is a fun place to be. With interesting slopes and not too crowded, San Sicario is an enjoyable place to relax, and explore. A part of the milky way skiing domain, it is easy to access the other resorts in this domain, and spend your time exploring new areas. If you like to relax when you ski, and have fun with a group of people, while enjoying yourself in the sun, San Sicario is the place to be..
