I am really disappointed from the talks of Friday's pray speaker in Shiraz, when he said the ski resorts are centre of corruptions! Unfortunately he is the representative of such a thoughts in system. And they have forgotten that the sedition is just next to their ears and eyes inside the covered places mostly, either by drugs, falsehood, hypocrisy, and sex, hidden or bare! And it is much cheaper and available than the sports like ski in open area and terrains among eager healthy interested. while it is not hidden under the visitors watches, upon anxiety of the speaker !!! Try to encourage the people for known approved physical exercises, and invest in related fields, instead of above talks and eradication. They will be our future decision makers of the country and need to be healthy first.

I had a chance to ski in Pooladkaf (Pooladkaf Ski Resort) resort on sunny Thursday Feb 24th 2011, for 2nd year. The piste was reasonable next to the main long surface lift but the top piste next to the cabin does not seem to be an independent slope! and seems merely supporting the above mentioned one and is used as a passage only for those who ski on grind (?) and trimmed pistes. It means this area needs some modifications to extend the usage and more opportunities for eagers (?). The cabine mostly was, unfortunately, for tourists as main users, and the skiers were side ones! while the skiers ought to be in advance wherever it is because of their perspiration and sweaty conditions. The road to parking and parking itself is muddy and uncomfortable while you pay for that: roughly about 20% of the lift prices. Entrance fee has copied from other resorts in Tehran suburbs as they have asphalt parking and reasonable connection roads! Another point, which has changed the atmosphere of the resort greatly, is the huge numbers of dangerous tube-riders who are playing freely in the resort, as though we see different notices where to where, regarding miss-confirmation of directorship! But the entrance fee, food stuffs, etc. may have more attractions and reasonable for closing eyes. I will be hopeful regarding Pooladkaf, the most southern resort in area just because of it's privacy and non governmental piste. Hope succeed for the eager investor in this field.

These days I am learning to ski and started the learning on 27 of February 2010. It was for the first time I went to Pooladkaf Ski Resort and enjoyed very much. It was snowing and learning of ski in this type of weather was very difficult. Some days later also I went there and the weather was very good with full of sunshine and a huge amount of snow and a good skiing area. On 11th of March 2010 I went there for the fourth time and with help and train of my ski teacher (Mr Ahmad Shakeri) I started the downhill ski from above the middle point of the ski track. Unfortunately, weather is going to be warm very soon this year and snows are melting rapidly. I hope to have a long cold winter next year there and have opportunity to go to Pooladkaf Ski Resort and continue to learn ski and enjoy from this pleasent beautiful resort. I have a website with name hajaliakbar.com and stated my ski experience in this web site in farsi language including pictures of area, me and my friends also map and altitude graph of track from Shiraz to Pooladkaf created by a Garmin Rino 130 GPS.

My 2nd course of skiing in Pooladkaf Ski Resort was during March 5 to 7th 2010. While the sun was strong enough on resort and because of week-end it was more or less busy so that I could not succeed to stay night there. But, fortunately, I found a motel near-by, just after the village( Komehr) not far from the resort, with friendly family who manages and run wonderfully with great hospitalities the small complex. There are a villa with 12-15 persons capacity plus 2 suits cover 4 persons each, with reasonable facilities. A restaurant with home-made cooking acceptable for different tastes with reasonable prices! You can go fishing for trout yourself on it's pool and submit for a delicious fresh kebab prepared with a wonderfull seasoning on it! Thank very much of mr. Amin Olavi the owner, manager, tourist guide with well knowledge of area and good speaker, friendly contacts,I call him "A man for whole seasons" with his wife as well... There, beside the ski at Pooladkaf Ski Resort, you can see the marvelous Margoon-waterfall near-by, which is unique in Iran. Also you can find other attractions through Mr.Olavi recommendations too. The price of accomodation per person will be arround us$ 10.0,and warm food as different kebabs, will cost us$ 5.0-7.0 in average, at here : koohestan tourist mini complex. The ski lifts will cost us$10.0 during the week-days and $12.0 on week ends(Fridays). Pooladkaf Ski Resort is the nearest one for interested Arab peoples in region, and it is the southest resort in Iran 900 km south of Tehran, on Zagross ranges, with well snow and duration of use, compare with it's climate! Hope see you there, for the lovely investors encourages.

I will have schedule to Ski at Pooladkaf (Pooladkaf Ski Resort) during next couple of days on early March 2010. I checked the snow condition with Mr. Alizade on Dena resort. He said 40 cm new snow which is going on... yet, on Tuesday March 2nd. During the way to Shiraz, I prefer to go through Isfahan, Bakhtiary, Kohkilooye to Fars and try the resorts on the way, as much as possible! My previous writtens has been edited so that I have been introduced from Uk ?! As though English skiers are interested to take part in visitor reviews mostly and I hope so many of them come to Pooladkaf (Pooladkaf Ski Resort) and write their sense and idea about...which surely will be positive because of most important point...we call it Expences against what we earn!

My first experiment in Pooladkaf Ski Resort back to 4 weeks ago on Jan 9-2010, when I arrived there around 9 am from Tehran through Yasuj, Dena pist and Kakan&komer. They started 600m surface lift for me alone and gradually some others joined me from Shiraz and Sepidan. Other 1000m surface lift was under repair and telecabin at rest, because the users were under 20 person. Tube riders were more active and more! It's a private pist and the owner seems to be the nature lover and peoples happiness and healthness. Thanks a lot for such an investment in this area and hope to be crowded soon, as well as it (Pooladkaf Ski Resort) is going to be expanded.
