Orcieres is a good resort for a family holiday with children. I skied there as a child and skied this year with small kids of my own. There are beginners' areas at the bottom and half way up the slopes. The "telemix" lifts allow small kids to go up the chairlift in a gondola for safety. The ski school runs free shuttle buses around the town to pick up small kids and take them to and from the ski garden for either morning or afternoon. Lift passes are free for kids up to 5 years old. The range of slopes won't blow the mind of an experienced skier and nothing makes you think you might be late to pick up the kids, but entertaining for some light skiing and mainly south facing.
