What's it like at Madarao Kogen resort?

Madarao Kogen is located in the Nagano prefecture of Japan. It is a large resort with 14 lifts that offers skiers and snow boarders a respectable 440 metres (1443 feet) of vertical descent. Madarao Kogen sits underneath Mt Madarao peak and can be connected to Tangram Ski Circus on one pass but this area alone has 28 pistes. The area is best suited to intermediate/expert skiers and snowboarders as 60% of the courses, at this natural bowl shaped resort, are ungroomed. But there is some terrain for beginners too. The area has a snow park. The nearest train station to Madarao Kogen is at Ilyama.
