There are 14kms of tree-lined skiing and snowboarding around the spa town of Janské Lázně - Cerna Hora, gateway to the Giant (Krkonose Mountains.) There is even a cable car and there are eighteen, mainly, intermediate pistes including the gentle 3km long Cerna Hora with a respectable vertical drop of 560m. Pod Kabinou covers the same vertical in a steep 2.6km. There is extensive snow-making at Janské Lázně - Cerna Hora, with night skiing, piste grooming, good children's amenities and a 50km network of cross-country trails.
