Hawksnest is a very underrated ski area. The skiing is second only to Sugar Mtn. in the area, but the prices are much more reasonable. Another great thing about Hawksnest is that it isnt very crowded. The blacks are on par with everything else in the area. Most skiers in the area would rate NC resorts as follows.... 1. Sugar Mtn. 2. Hawksnest (Seven Devils, NC) 3. Beech Mtn. 4. App. Ski Mtn. (Boone, NC)
