Gasteiner Tal in Austria is a very small ski resort with just three ski lifts but it does boast a very impressive 1096 metres (3596 feet) of vertical descent. Gasteiner Tal has 24 kilometers (15 miles) of pistes. Gasteiner Tal is best suited to intermediate skiers and snowboarders but there is some terrain for beginners and advanced skiers. There are 12 kilometers (8 miles) of cross country ski trails at Gasteiner Tal. For snowboarders, there is a terrain park and a half pipe. The nearest airport is at Salzburg.
