Visitor Reviews of Val d’Allos – La Foux (Espace Lumière)
We've had a property 20 minutes away from the La Foux d'Allos for 12 years and there have only been two out of the 12 where the snowfall has been particularly bad. 2014 the area was officially the snowiest place in France. Runs are well groomed and we've seen a huge development in the resort with old lifts replaced by express quads and a luge put in. Outside of school holidays, the resort is very quiet but there are people around, so you don't feel totally alone. Ski passes/food/drink/equipment hire is much cheaper than other resorts. Very French and family orientated. A few Brits, some expats who come up from Nice and a couple of school groups. We've skied huge resorts in the US and Canada (brilliant), but love 'our' local mountains knowing that the Med and Nice are only a couple of hours away if you get fed up of the cold!
