We wish you a wonderful start to the Easter weekend. From 11:00 a.m., a free “witches’ potion” will be served at the small ice rink in the enchanted Winter Wonderland in Söll (Hexenwasser gondola station). All events can be found at [link] . Excellent resort, best for freeriders. Note that during periods of heavy snow or wind the connection to Saalbach may be shut and if so, skiing is very limited to a few runs in Fieberbrunn (happened 3 days in a row in Jan 2022). Best place to stay fore skiing is around the Bergbahn, but if you are taking the bus then there are plenty of places down the hill in Fieberbrunn. Walking to the Bergbahn is not a great idea as it's uphill and not a good path. Best off-piste guide companies are S4 and Widman, both at the base of the Fieberbrunn Bergbahn. The best option is the free bus 8301/8302 which does a small circuit of the area. Other buses also travel the route. Beware. VVT, who run the bus service, are not good. Unlike every bus system in the world, they don't show the bus route number (8301/8302) on the front of the bus, surly drivers won't talk, and the internal display often doesn't work. A bus will turn up, but VVT make it difficult to determine if it's the right one.
