I have climbed to Damavand summit from all four main routes but I prescribed for mountaineers that they want to climb for the first time to any route they must have a coach or a very experienced man in his / her team and have accommodated with physical readiness then start to climbing as example 'the eastern route' have the most climbing distance and also in foggy climates the most danger is to be thrown off to 'Yakhar valley'. 'The northern route' program it is better to reach '5000 Shelter'. The end shelter in the first time and have enough water and also have crampon for transferring the glassier. The western route has the most slope and danger of throwing rocks and needs the most physical readiness at the end. 'The southern route' has the most visitors/climbers so it needs preparations to reserve a bed via net.
Hi,
Our team bozboz-e-ghandi, consisting two person (me, the head and S, the follower) reached the summit at 12:45 on Saturday August the 30, 2014.
I think Damavand is a holly place and as you all know there are too many stories about men who came down from or went to Damavand and rescued this land (Fereydoun, Arash, ....) so I thought I should go there at least once in my life and now I am very proud of this.
I should state here that this site was a great help and I used the information about weather forecast.

To ski-climbers,
Mt. Damavand ski-climbing season has already started. There have been abundant snowfalls this winter and more to fall, if so, the season may last even till late May! You may also plan for 'Ski Touring' and 'Snow Boarding' in "Do Berar" Range mountains in Mt. Damavand area starting from 'Lasem' village nearby. You may also try skiing in cable-car/lifters/Mountain Hotel equipped 'Mt. Tochal ski piste' located at over 3650m high (facing Tehran) before the season ends. Dear mountaineers,
I have gone to Damavand several times from all of the routes and I know how to cope from this white beast in every season.
If you require any information and one tour guide do not hesitate to contact me.

Cheers.
We started to go to Damavand peak (Mount Damavand), with 4 friends of mine, some couple of years ago, from south view, rineh and goosfand sara. we continued up to concern south shelter, but the friends immediately lie down all, length-wise! because of fatigueness and oxygen shortage, just in front of the shelter and couldn't climb on the same day and there was not any equipment with us to stay night in shelter, and try next day?!
Hence, we returned unfortunately and unsuccessfully, leaving the schedule for future with needed commodities preparations.
We ended the program with fatty Akbar Joojeh in main road instead! Which I can not recommend to any else...

Hello to My Iranian friends,
I am planning on cimbing MD (Mount Damavand) in a couple of weeks. Any advice or help?
I appreciate all your comments.
I also need to know if there is a place I can rent my equipment rather than bring them from the US?
Cheers and thanks to all.

Dear Climbers
We are getting to the end of summer (end of Sep) and before new snow starts falling you may face a problem in Damavand Mt. for water in any route of climbing!
Take Care!

Hi all,
The best time for Mount Damavand climbing is Jul to Sep, it is a 2 days program. The south route is the easiest, but there is some smelly sulfur gas near the peak (Alt 5400m~5500m) which increase in middle of day, so it is better for you to be in the top before 11 AM. Fell free to contact with me for any question with this Email: [email protected]
Regards
Hi all,
Camp1 Polour is the best starting point for climbing Mt Damavand, Iran, from Calsic south route (or the west route). It is a shortcut to the Base Camp.
