Quiero aclarar que la carretera de acceso es privada desde el control de Maitenes (unos 25 kmt antes de Chapa Verde), porque es además el acceso a la principal mina de cobre subterránea del mundo, siendo la más segura y en mejor estado del país. Esto no sucede en otros centros de esquí del país, donde rige "la ley de la selva" en la carretera.
