Tignes, one of the few French ski areas staying open into May, will round off the 2025–26 winter season with the return of the Tignes Unlimited electronic music festival, running from 25 April to 3 May 2026.

Canyon is a great non-mountain hill with enough playful terrain to keep you entertained. A short drive from Red Deer, It's a fantastic place to learn to ski/snowboard or to just warm up for the bigger trips. Reasonable season pass costs make it easy to pop out for a couple of hours for a quick ride in your spare time. The parks are sponsored by a local skate and snow shop and they get better every year. The cafeteria is competitively priced as it is so close to town. There is quite a large eating area so seating is usually not a problem. There are 5 lifts: a triple chair, double chair, 2 T-bars, and a magic carpet. The lifts are a little slow but they get you to the top. All-in-all, you would be hard set to find a better hill in the prairies. The new owners have done an amazing job. With a boost from the Canada Games they have updated snow making equipment and added a couple of runs. If you are in Red Deer, it's worth a trip out.
