Just spent a day in Rosswald. It was worth every minute. Took a telecabine to a sunny plateau with some of the finest views in the world. Yes, the skiing is limited but the couple of easy blacks and lovely blues made it really worthwhile. Perfect grooming, the locals were super friendly and helpful (from the skipass sales guy, lift attendants, ski instructors and restaurant folk) and there's a truly quaint atmosphere.
Then came the highlight, a 10km rum through the trees to the bottom. Enormous fun!
Go visit, its not for a week but for a day or two. It's really worth it.

Rosswald is a small chalet village perched at 1825m above the Rhone valley overlooking Brig. Only accessable by cable car in Winter. The skiing is limited in extent but not in difficulty (3 out of 5 runs are black!) The views from the top lift (all T-bars) are amazing! The Matterhorn & Monte Rosa on one side & the Bernese Oberland on the other. Night life consists of the 'Geri bar' & hotel bar. Overall: Small but beautiful PS: The top lift is at 2600m not 3017m as on the weather chart!
