Beware of ski/snowboard swap.
Went to the ski/snowboard swap this year, and had to come home from university, such a waste of time. I was in the last time slot so expectedly it was picked over. But I found one board that seemed to be ok. But they were hiding it had a crack in it, the whole width of the board. The board had no sticker or warning it was cracked and they hid it by placing the sticker on the bottom of the board so it was upside down and you couldn't see it. One of the other customers told me that he found it had a crack in it and that no one told him. I went and told a staff member who had been watching me look at the board and he said "ya I know it's cracked." He told me they were selling it for only the bindings yet he only told me after I found the crack. He knew and wasn't telling me to sell another board. Also, the bindings were in terrible condition and about 20 years old and not worth anything. Their website says "Our certified technicians will inspect the equipment to make sure it is current and safe." Yet they sell broken snowboards that aren't safe. The rest of the stuff was brand new and was pretty expensive. One of the snowboarding boots were being sold for 300 yet I can buy them new for 225 new after tax at other stores. Will most likely be better if you get an early time slot. Disappointing.
