Got back from Arinsal last week. This is about my 6th time skiing there. Have skied in Austria and Italy but feel like this is home. As usual had a great time and find it a great place. Met up with the usual crowd of ski instructors and bar owners. Don't like to write reviews much as I don't want everyone going to my little country but it is fab. We stayed at Hotel Montane again; basic but friendly and great position although food this time round not as good as a couple of years ago. Have stayed in Princessa Park and St Gothard and St Mortize appartments and all good. What can I say except hope to see everyone again in March.

Visited Plagne Soleil 8 times in Jan/Feb/Mar. Going again in Jan '09. Paradiski is great, after a week there are still slopes left! Ski domain La Plagne itself is also very large. Slopes are wide and well prepared. Due to the high altitude there is virtually always plenty of snow. We drive down the mountain to a supermarket in Aime to get some serious supplies once or twice during our stay. There is a far greater choice in products and you get a bigger bang for your buck ;)

And on the 8th day god made Cypress. great fun, and with the new lodge this year and loads of comps going on at the aerials/pipe/bdr-x areas this yr its ramping up for 2010. The views are second to none. Where else can you watch the sea, the city, Mt Baker (stunning), islands, ferries, within 20 mins of downtown Vancouver. When the sun goes down it really is something else, the lights in town start twinkling and the sky turns red! gasp I hear you say!

Small but decent resort for beginners to intermediates. It is positioned quite low, but they have ever improved snow making facilities, so the snow-conditions are not so bad. For the season, they are rebuilding everything massively, the runs will be 1-1,5km long, 200m of drop, good for carving and served by modern 4 chairlifts - so, perhaps good-bye to the queues? Huge ski-school with nice lifts for children.

I was in Madesimo for the second time in the second part of March ´08 and it was really beautiful. I´ve tried all the runs, even the challenging looong freerides Canalone and Camoscio. The best for fun carving was the powdery Val di Lei in the spring sunshine! Great week, great resort, great value! I will try to get my friends together and get there even this year. In 08 season, they had powder until half April!

Going to Pas in January again, was there last year and had an awesome time. As we are a group of 12 girls we had the times of our lives, good boarding even though we where beginners, good apres, lots of fit blokes. Fab holiday. Can not wait to go back. First stop will definitely be Paddys Bar, it has the friendliest staff, the best vibe and by far is the most social bar. After we will see you all in Bilboard for a good nights dancing. see you all January Lisa xxxxxx

Me , hubby and daughter were there the same week; 3rd Feb. We stayed in the Hotel Princesa Park. Very good value for money, good food in restaurant for 6 out of 7 days. 1st time in Arinsal and, hopefully, will be returning. We traveled 1st time with Inghams and found them good too. Could have snowed a bit more though as by the time we left all the snow on the mountains had mostly disappeared. However, they have tons of snow cannons. Also not much choice of food in bars/cafes on pistes. All in all, a good holiday.

Arrived in Arinsal on the 3rd Feb, stayed in the Patagonia hotel next to Peters' Crest hotel. Snow on the first day, excellent weather for the remainder of the week. nothing to add to Peters' comments in regard to 'ski-arrangements' (slopes, quality of snow etc etc..) - Patagonia hotel offers good quality for the price you pay, (big rooms, fresh towels, cleaning, beds done etc etc..), minor points being that the 'happy hour' does not include soft drinks for the kids (being there with 4 kids adds up..), and the restaurant in the evening only opens at 19.30hr, which is too late for kids having spent a whole day on the slopes.. choice of food and quality, however, is good, staff are friendly. I will definitely go back at the end of the year to Arinsal, it's an ideal place for families with (4) kids..

Spent a week in Arinsal from 3rd Feb 08. It snowed the night I arrived which saved the week and made it good. Stayed at the Crest, yards from the lift. Clean room, friendly staff, more than adequate food. Skied on Arinsal but found it small in area - but excellent for someone to learn on all week. (Half kilometre walk down to the village and then same distance back - but then up the steep hill). Got to Encamp and caught the 'Funicamp' up to the very large area of Grand Valari which covers the northern ski area. That is excellent for any level of skier! The weather was hot and sunny all week and the snow was maintained only on the pistes in Arinsal with Grand Valari getting noticeably thinner in places. My advice - stay at Soldeu or similar to gain from the larger ski area. It was an excellent week to at a friendly area of the world!

6 Jan, 2008 Just got back, skiing was great, slopes in very good condition (not all open), some great skiing in PAL. Hotel Princessa Parc was great, great food!! Make sure you leave your skis up at the ski centre at the top, saves carrying skis each day, cost 54 Euro for locker which holds 4 X skis (well worth it). Also, ask at ski lift for Vallnord card, it gives you between 10 to 20% off at shops etc. See you in March; going back out.
